  1. I am also in my 3rd day and the gas is something else, but seems to be fadding. I was told just clear liquids for 3 weeks, no protien shakes now. I am getting protien from skim milk. It is stated that we should get plenty of rest, and I nap 2 to 3 times a day. It is getting better. I take my pain liquid twice a day. Good luck.
  2. I hear you about the protien drink. I go to surgery day-after tomorrow and been on Optifast now for 13 days. For me it was mostly that it was only 800 calories a day and just did not give me much energy. Now to think that I will have to drink that stuff another 2-weeks after surgery, WOW!
