  1. Here we go August banders! Our time to shine has arrived. To all of those getting banded this week, best of luck. You are beginning the first chapter of a new life. Whoot whoot!!!:bananapowerslide:
  2. Hi! I totally understand the feeling, but excited to find out what is ahead of me. What part of Phoenix do you live in and who's doing your surgery? Did you have to do a pre-op diet? I would love to keep in contact to help keep each other focused and going. We're going to do this! Yay for us for taking our health back! Look forward to hearing from you and seeing how things are going.
  3. Thank you so much for the kind words. It's important that we hear from those that have traveled the journey and it gives comfort in knowing the best is yet to come. 90 lbs off is wonderful and inspiration for me to make this work. You are proof that it can be done. Thank you!
  4. Thank you for the encouragement. 36lbs is GREAT! Keep up the great work and keep me posted. I look forward to following your progress! My surgery is on a Friday and plan to be back to work on Monday. Do you think that's feasible?
  5. I live in North Phoenix. August 2nd is RIGHT around the corner, how exciting! I'm sending best wishes your way. I'm wishing my date was sooner now, so I can get this behind me, and finally be on the other side. I'm positive everything will go well also. Please keep me posted. Since we're so close in distance maybe once we both get past our healing stage we can synch up and keep each other on track. I'm a firm believer in having a support system. I can also be found on facebook, at sweet_coco_az@ yahoodotcom,
  6. Thank you Shirley for taking the time to read my post! I'm excited about my new birthday. I can only hope I do as well as you...you're rocking! 35 years of marriage is great :woot: Congratulations!
  7. Hi everyone! Just stopping by to introduce myself. I'm a 36 year old female living in the desert, LOL...Arizona. I've been on the fast track with starting the process the middle of July, and a surgery date of August 19th. Can't believe how quickly this time has come. I've experienced all types of emotions at this point, anxiety, nervousness, excitement. You name it, I've gone through it. Will just be glad when I get to the other side and this part is behind me. I look forward to getting to know others on here. I believe a good support system is what helps people be successful. Let's do this and win!

Thanks for shareing your story Karon. I get banded on August 19th and this gave me more comfort on what to expect. You have a great positive attitude, so I have no doubt you will do fabulous! Congratulations!
  9. Hi everyone! My date is scheduled for August 19th, can you say nervous and excited at the same time! Glad we have quite a few August bandid's here to go through this journey together. If anyone is on facebook, please feel free to find and add me at sweet_coco_az @ yahoo dot com. Since I've only told immediate family and a few friends, I created a secured facebook group where me and my friends can post freely and I can give updates about my journey without it going publicly on my personal wall. Anyways, if interested in connecting with me there, look me up because I definitely need reinforced support! Let's go August losers!!:bananajump:
