About Me

  • Gender
    Female
What’s my story? Well probably the same as everyone else but maybe a few different twists. Have struggled with weight since I hit puberty and my hormones decided to get all wild and crazy like. I wouldn’t say I have really bad eating and exercising habits to be honest or any food addictions it’s more lifestyle related, too much socialising, drinking, eating out and busy work life that stops me keeping the eye on the ball. I have had success with various methods of weight loss and losing up to 20kg at my best attempts, but as always short lived. Without major attention to my “hand to mouth” autopilot, maintaining my weight is just not manageable. On top of this I have to a hormone disorder (PCOS) making the likelihood of diabetes 60% higher, plus extremely hard to lose weight. The funniest thing is the recommendation for better management of PCOS is weight loss, ironic no? Anyway long story short, I have now become boarderline diabetic so can’t risk another failed attempt so Lap-band here I am…
