I am a type 1 juvenile diabetic from Houston, Tx. I have suffered from weight all of my life, and especially more being a diabetic. I gained 40 pounds within a 2 month period due to a certain type of birth control I was taking and then afterwards I just became depressed. I managed to gain even more weight and turned to food to make me feel better. I am a little over a week away from having surgery and I couldnt be more ready. I was asked to do a 2 week pre-op diet and I decided to do a 3 week instead and have cut EVERYTHING out. It has been VERY difficult for me, but I have not cheated. I am treating this as a disease like my diabetes and I plan to be in complete control for the rest of my life.
