  4. All my asthma has gone away. I haven't used my inhaler in two years. Also, all of my allergies are gone as well. I have not had to take any meds for that either!!

  6. Donna, I bought the Quest bars at GNC. Strawberry cheesecake. I really hope she is right about tasting like pop tarts!!
  7. I wish I had read this before I went to GNC today. They had buy 2 great one free. The girl said that these bars don't have that chalk taste and the strawberry cheesecake tastes like a strawberry pop tart!! Oh we'll, hoping for the best. (She did say I could bring the unopened ones back if I didn't like them)
  8. I had the lap band May of 2011. I lost 115 pounds in a year and a half. My Doctor wanted to do the sleeve, but 2 years ago it was still a new procedure. Gastric bypass was out of the question, with a 1 in 200 death rate. I feel like with my band, if my stomach stretches, I have a "safety net" because I can have more saline put in. I have gained and lost 1000 pounds in my lifetime and I wanted this to be the last time. I watch and track what I eat, exercise, and go to monthly support group meetings. I can't imagine my life without my band!!! Hope this helps!
  9. I was banded May 18, 2011. I lost 115 pounds in a year and a half. This year I started running, upped my weights at the gym, and had 1 cc of fluid removed about 6 weeks ago. Since January, I have gained 15 pounds back. But, I can live with that! I am still much better off than I was!!
  10. I was banded May of 2011. I didn't have any trouble with acid reflux until I was overfilled about 15 months in. Then it started all at night. I was ok durning the day but, within 30 minutes of going to bed it started. And, it was projectile. I tried not eating dinner, antacids of every kind, sleeping on the couch propped up on pillows. Nothing seemed to work. In two nights before my unfill I slept a total of 5 hours. I went about 6 weeks ago and had 1 cc taken out of my band, and I feel like a new person!!!!! I only have a little heartburn if I eat something spicy. Now, with saline put, I definitely have to track what I eat on My Fitness Pal. I have gained about 3 to 5 pounds back, but it has been worth sleeping!!!

  12. I am only 17 months out. I have lost 110 pounds and cannot imagine life without my band. I have only had a few minor issues with acid reflux, but that only started 3 months ago. I will be able to say in 5 years that I have maintained my weight loss, plus 10 more (which will put me at my Doctors goal), because I do not wont to go back to the old me! I like the new me. : )
