Hi there, Slim Fast does not have very much Protein in it to keep you full. I drink the Premier Nutrition shakes from Sams club. They have 30grams of protein and 160 calories. Just a thought Good Luck ---Michelle

Hey guys, I was banded on the 4th. I feel great! No more gas thank goodness. My port site is very tender other incisions are fine. How often are you guys changing your bandages? I've been doing it everyday when I get out of the shower. Is that normal?? Also I have had my tummy grumble like its hungary, but I take a couple sips of Water and I am good.. Feels funny though. I'm not allowed Protein shakes til next week. Only water, broth and Jello and juice for me.

I have only told my husband,mom,brother and two co-workers. Everyone else just thinks I am going on vacation for the week. My kids don't know either~I have not made up my mind if I should tell them or not, they are 9 &5 both girls. I don't want them learning to be self concious(sp)of weight

I am from Sandy Springs, Ga. Today is day three of my preop diet and I actually feel pretty good. Let me tell ya'll that I hate Water..I had an IV drip of coke. I have not had the first headache this time after quitting the coke. I am very surprised!! Wondering if it is the amount of water I am forcing myself to drink? If you haven't already sign up for myfitnesspal.com. You can enter your foods and shakes to calculate how many calories you are having! Its pretty cool. They also have a app for your phone. I think the biggest help I have had is the Protein shakes I got. They have 30g of protein in one. They are Premier Nutrition chocolate and taste like a yoohoo so it helps with my sweet tooth also. Hey Amy, The Sams club by me only had the chocolate-but I was very surprised at how good they taste. I think it's taste like a yoo-hoo. I think I paid $17 for a 12 pack.

Hi everyone, I am scheduled for surgery Oct 4th. I started pre-op today with 1 shake for b'fast, 1 for lunch and just a lite dinner. Then next monday is the full liquid diet. Anyways back to my question...is it ok to drink coffee in the morning(I like it sweet) as long as I drink my water the rest of the day? Thanks ya'll!! Michelle

Maybe this is a stupid question but am I supposed to drink chicken broth from a can like Swanson or is it the diluted bullion(sp) cubes?

I am going to Mexico in October and not really sure of the best things to take with.... I have heard gas-X, protein shakes, but I want to know what you wish you would have had along with you... Thanks
