  1. Hey there everyone! Eric here. This group is way to quiet. LOL How is everyone doing? Where is everyone from? I'm in NH. we just got hit with an early record breaking blizzard that left us with 16" of snow. Crazy!! I hope we can get some conversations going in this group too. I had my VSG surgery done at Lahey Clinic in Mass, on June 22, 2011. I started the program there at 462lbs. I lost 61lbs pre-op and have lost an additional 52 since surgery. This is the best thing I have ever done for myself. As a gay man though trying to fit under a "label" now is becoming somewhat tricky. Is it the same for you ladies? I hate labels personally but if you date online especially at all, you always have to have a label. For us guys, it's twink (Skinny and hairless), Bear/Cub/Otter (If you're bigger, furrier, and have a beard), and Chub (Big Overweight Guy usually clean shaven). It's crazy!!! Anyone else have thoughts and opinions on this?

The staff and care was really awesome. I didn't have one bad experience. Hope everyone is doing great and I wish you all lots of success and health on your journey's! Take care!
  7. Hey Everyone! Eric here. I had my VSG on June 22, 2011. I am currently just under 1 month out and have had no complications or set-backs. Dr. Nepomnashy said he thought the sleeve looked "Text book Perfect". The Staff and Bariatric team at Lahey Clinic have all been superb and I can't thank them enough. they have truly made my journey so much easier. The nurses especially were all amazing. The care I received was excellent. Surgeon: Dr. Dimitri Nepomnayshy Hospital : Lahey Clinic - Burlington, Ma.
