What about side effects? I am worried about weight gain and acne. I have been told it is really good, but since I have lost my 72 lbs my husband has been all over me. So I am glad I have a good form of birth control. Just a little worried about side effects.

Has anyone used the mirena iud? I read that it can cause weight gain hair loss etc? Advice welcome!!!!!!!!!!!

I am finally under 250lbs!!! I haven't been under 250 since 2005!!! Yay!!! I had my VSG on July 5! I am down from 317!!!! I can not believe this is happening!!! So so happy!!!!!!! I think about so many other things other than food!!!!

Librax-, I actually feel tons better after getting the 2 banana bags! They said that dehydration made it worse! I know thy are terrible!

I will be 3 weeks post op tuesday. I need to know when will this overstuffed feeling go away! Also, I have NO appetite at all for anything!!!! I can not get all that protien in!!! I have lost 50lbs but I dont want want to be unhealthy either!!! I don't know my husband thinks I am a worry wart!

I am I week post op.. 26 lbs lost and was wondering 1) is that normal to loose that much in 1 week? 2) has anyone had intense esophageal spasms and what did you do about them? 3) intense explosive poopies?!?! Lots of questions and I have called my MD and prescribed more liquid lortab. Any and all suggestions are appreciated.

ok, so here it goes. operation was done on Tuesday. It went well. When i woke up in my room, I had horrible horrible nausea, but managed to keep from vomiting. My nurses have been great. I am very happy with my care. I had the barium swallow study doneyesterday and began my fluids. I drank to fast and got nauseated agian, but still managed to keep from vomiting. I learned quick to keep those little measurng medicine cups to drink from so i am limiting myself from gulping. I have had to keep taking the Zofran and liquid Lortab, but i slept well last night and i now feel like my old self. I started walking 1hour after getting to my room. ihave walked, walked and then walked some more. i am hoping that i will begoing hom soon today. I am ready to begin my new life. I am pleased with my decision.

Hello all! My surgery is today!!! July 5 at 9!! I am wide awake. Can not sleep and normally I would be up snacking!!! So here goes my new life! Now I am here reading all of these fabulous blog posts and getting super excited!!!! However I have two small children and am worried about complications!!!! I know I will be fine but it's just that small doubting voice!!! Would love to read some helpful hints, advice or just some good ole encouragement!!!! Thanks!!
