ok i was supposed to have my band on the 23 of this month but things didnt work out so now my goal is no later than FEB 25 we will see tho I am soooo excited and nervous but just waitning on the doctor to see where I go from here ughhhh but who knows anyway hope all had a wonderful holiday! ughhhhh sooooo nervous but cant go back only forward anybody else getting banded jan or feb?

i hopefully will get banded in December! i have been trying for about 4 years now and we got pregnant the first few times but just could not carry. now have not been pregnant in two years and im lucky if i get my period once a year unless the give me medicine to help so i am hoping that the band will give me the baby we have dreamed about!!! congrats and good luck

i had my apt this am and it was great my doc said because i am lucky enough to have military insurance that i should be able to have my surgery way sooner then most we are looking at mid dec to mid jan time frame we will decide at my next apt after my sleep study and everything like that!!

yes that would be great i think everyone needs a partner in this journey and it would be amazing to have someone standing by me who knows what i am feeling!

thank you both and yea my insurance just required that i meet with a counselor once then with the nutritionist for six weeks and then for a doctor approval letter. I am soo excited we should be meeting and talking about what the operation will be like and discussing when and what needs to be done next i am still excited to get a better time frame i cant wait omgoodness and oct 17 thats amazing good luck dear

hey everyone i have my first consult with my surgeon on Friday and I could not be more excited its sooo amazing knowing that in a few months i will hopefully have my surgery and then in a 6 months from now i should be feeling like a new women I cant wait. LOVING LIFE RIGHT NOW!

Are you sure you are not like my younger twin lol Im 23 im 5'4" and weigh 278 I have been struggling with my weight since i was a teen and I have decided to go thru with it and the only thing i can say is research research reasearch we are all here to support you in whatever you decide I have been thinking about the lapband for about 4 years now and finally decided to just go for it because at this weight there is not much worse that could happen good luck sweeite in all that you choose to do keep us posted k

Well I had my appointment today for the doctors and they approved me so now I just have to pick out my surgeon and then wait for the insurance letter to come in and then I can meet with my surgeon and hopefully have this done by Christmas time yayyyyyy i cant wait!!!!!!!

I had my Eval on the 12 and i didnt have to do any questionar thing so im very thankful but i have my nutrional apt on the 30th and then my apt for insurance on the 12th of sept and hopefully my consult within like 30 days does anyone know how long after the consult it usually takes to schedule the surgery or where we go after the consult?

Congrats I am soooo happy for you and wish you the best I am just starting my process and one of the biggest reasons is for a baby! we have been trying to conceive for 4 years now and have had a few unfortunate things happen. So after long considerations my husband and I both decided this may be the greatest thing for me and I could not be happier. Every time I read success story on here it too makes me feel amazing and just happy and full of tons of hope and happiness thank you for sharing and I wish you soo much happiness I will defiantly be watching this one as well!

so i had my pysch eval today and i am sooo excited he said i would be a great canidate for it and i cant wait next step is my appt for the insurance thing in exactly 30 days from today omg i cant wait i am sooo ready

OH MY GOODNESS SOOOO EXCITING I COULDNT BE HAPPIER FOR YOU THAT IS TRUELY AMAZING I have been trying for 5 years and 2 of that has been on fertility treatments i am pre op and i am sooo nervous but it is time to do something for me and leave the rest for fate to decide i cant wait and your story has raised my spirits even more because i have hardly any support but def congrats girl this is soo amazing

so i get to have my apt tomorrow to talk to the doc about my ref and all but now im like sooooo scared my best friend had gastric in October of last year and died from it in dec two days before Christmas and now all of that is hitting me at once and i have all of this rushing thru my head like what if it slips what if it does not work what if the worst happens and it all goes sooo wrong omg now im kinda panicked someone please anyone have these same fears what about after you had your band put on was it all worth it

awe well congrats and i know what is like to be the fat friend and dammit im going to be the skinny friend now but congrats im very happy for you keep me posted best wishes

lol Kala thank you everyone I am soo excited wish more of my family and friends were as supportive as all of you how has all of your journeys been going? for those who have already been banded is it worth it do you feel relieved?

thank you sooooo much i have been ttc for four years and have had a few miscarriages i am starting the banding process and hopefully next week will be able to get my app submitted for insurances and all of you have given me hope they said that i will never concieve at my current wieght so im doing this as my last ditch attempt to be healthy and have a baby in a year to 18 months from now well at least be pregnant thank you girls you are my reason for not giving up and just for me to keep going even when i have wanted to just throw up my hands and say to hell with it alll
