Should I keep the reservation??
I have been to the steak house several times (pre-sleeve) and I think you can still do it. You can get the lobster or even the very tender Filet. Just don't go in there thinking you will be able to eat it all. Don't fill up on salad. It is still going to be delicious and at $30 you can't complain even if you can only eat a couple of ounces.

Help! I can't poo
Thank you so much for the encouragement and advice. Yesterday I tried MOM and my correctol and had some success. I really really need to get away from the daily weigh-ins. I love all my sleeve siblings!!!

Help! I can't poo
I had my surgery on July 11 and initially did really well losing about 18 lbs by the 22nd. My bowel movements have been spotty since the surgery but I attributed that to the fact I was eating so little. Today I am on a mixture of soft and regular foods and since the 22nd my weight has not moved down at all, it actually is going up every day. I have been taking correctall trying to help but it is not working. Does anyone have any advice or words of wisdom because I feel like a failure and am now starting to feel uncomfortable (like I am actually constipated). Sorry for the TMI but I am getting really upset with this situation.

2 wks post op..can't see weight loss
It was so good for me to find this posting today. I have been stalled for the last couple of days, I was sleeved on 7/11 and initially things were going good. I was moved to soft foods on 7/21 and since then have been stalled. I had lost a total of 16 lbs from 7/2 until 7/21 but nothing since then. I have been on the verge of tears all day today and am wallowing in self pity. I have not been able to get all my water nor do I think I am getting enough protein each day but I expected more results. My bowel movements have been few and far between (sorry tmi) and I have been questioning what I'm doing wrong.

Tired of hearing you don't look that big to need surgery!
Three days will be a breeze! I had to do 7 days full liquid and no food and I didn't have a problem. My biggest issue was that I really missed chewing. Sound strange, but when you are there you will know exactly what I mean. I got some sugar free gum to chomp away on when I felt like that. I had my surgery Monday and am doing great. Please don't let people question your decision to have the surgery. A lot of my friends said the same thing to me about it being too drastic, heck even the ICU nurse that I had post surgery said that to me when I was being released, my comeback to most people is that I probably weigh more than you think I do and that I have tried "Fat and Happy" for a while now and now I want to be Fit Happy and Healthy. Good luck Momma!

Isopure GAG
I got a couple samples of the Isopure alpine punch and grape once I was released from the hospital. I am a fruit punch kinda girl so I was hoping it would be good but it does taste like medicine and is horrible beyond words. I had purchased this stuff called MiO, it is liquid Water enhancers with no calories and no sugar. It is also tropical fruit, it helps but it is not yet made it good. Hope this helps and hope your recovery goes well. I am loving my sleeve!

Surgery today
Hi Robin! I am so glad to hear you are doing well! My experience was very similar to yours. During the last few days before surgery though, I was a nervous wreck. I had terrible heartburn from my broths and protein shakes. I was terribly nauseous but think it was just from nerves. I got to the hospital about 6:30 am and had met with my doctor right on schedule at 8:30. They woke me up at about 11 and said everything went great. I stayed in recovery until about noon and then was moved to a really nice room in ICU. I did my first walk around the ward about 2:30 and they had me up every hour after that. I had the most excellent care while I was there, I was very comfortable except for feeling tethered to the machines. I was in the chair most of the afternoon until 8:30 at night when I did a walk and then got into the bed. The overnight nurse was tough, she got me up every two hours to walk and by 5 am I gave up on sleep and asked to sit in the chair. By 9 am I was done with the morphine pump and was actually pretty comfortable. I had the barium test, about that time and after the results came in I got to meet the nutritionist and she came with lunch. I got two ounces each of diluted apple juice, broth and diluted jello. I was easily able to tolerate them and I was really surprised especially since my stomach was so upset the days before surgery. I was released about 6 pm too and definitely felt better being home. I have been having a sampling of the full liquids that I am allowed and so far *knocks wood* I haven't had a bad reaction to anything. I am being very careful to keep my amounts small. I'd say the pain level is a little high when I get up or down but other than that, I am okay. We are planning to go out somewhere today so I can get some walking in. I have the liquid Lortab to take for pain and I have used in several times but not all the time. What's funny, I think I get whiny or grumpy when I start to hurt because then my husband will start with the questions and I'll inevitably take the medication and lay down for a bit. One thing I am dying to know and if no one else has this experience, I'll call the nurse and ask.... this is kind of embarrassing, but my stomach has been terribly loud! Sounds like a horrible Texas thunderstorm all the time in my belly! I have had very little gas pass (I've been trying) and no bowel movements (also been trying) so I'm hoping the noisy belly is just because of that. Do you have that?? take care, Marilynn
