  1. Self pay here, too. I was blessed to have the offer of zero percent financing from someone who loves me! Was banded on the 22nd and am still having a little abdominal pain from incisions, but nothing that I can't walk through. I decided that it was a good investment of my income when I considered my ability to see my grandchildren grow up. I want to be the Grandma who participates, who goes and does and who is a happy part of their childhoods. That, for me, is priceless! And compared to the amount of money that I was spending on tearing down my temple, it's not all that expensive. Hope you find a peace about your decision, I did!
  2. I don't have a skinny list, but I have a healthy list. Here are a few: 1. Ninja wrestle with my grandson without being out of breath and struggling to get up off the floor. 2. Hear my husband say "slow down, I can't keep up with you". 3. Be able to dance at a wedding without sweating like a man. 4. Pick out clothes I actually LIKE and want to wear, without worrying that the biggest size is gonna be too little. Good luck to everyone working toward their goals....I think this journey will be amazing!
  3. I was also banded on the 22nd, and constipated until this a.m. Decaf coffee and lots of Water worked for me! Good luck
  4. Had my final visit with the nutritionist yesterday and will be banded on the 22nd. Am so excited and can't wait to get on the road to a better me! I'm surprised by how many different pre-surgery programs there are.....I am doing two weeks of protein shakes and liquids, one small salad daily after the 4th day. I've been prescribed a patch to put on for nausea, that will go on the night before surgery. I've been subscribed liquid pain meds and liquid nausea meds for post-surgery. My nutritionist, who is a part of the package and a blessing, has answered every questions I can come up with and even had my husband come in so that he will be more aware of the post-operative schedule. I can't say enough good things about the team at my surgeon's office....and I interviewed several before choosing my doctor.
  5. I'm also scheduled for the 22nd! So excited. My process has been really fast, first appt on 6/6 and started liquids on 6/8. Had meeting with nutritionist yesterday and confirmed surgery on 22nd, went and pre-registered with surgery center and anesthesiologist. All I have to do is show up on surgery day! I am so blessed to have this made available to me.....I'm ready to rock a lapband! No rock n roll for me....I understand that rolls will be off limits for a while!
