Thank you for replying to my message. Thank you for the support that you have given me and the crazy thing is I don't even know you. Yeah my doctor told me to go to Mexico about 3 years ago and so when I finally make plans he now doesn't think it is a good idea. I am going to do this because I want to be healthy. I want to be able to walk at least 1 mile and not have to stop 3 or 4 times because my back hurts so bad from all the weight I carry in the front. Louise is my coordinator and she is wonderful. I am going with Dr. Almanza and I have only found 2 bad things about him. It could be false information because someone is pissed off at him or it could be true. It also depends on the person and if they followed the exact instructions of the doctor before and after the surgery. Everybody has different illnesses and may have problems but I wish them the best. There is always someone who has problems no matter where you have your surgery. You could have your surgery in the USA and have problems. I think the best thing for you to do would be to call the Patient Rep Louise and talk to her. Louise is very nice and patient and will answer any questions you have. There is another site that I go to and read the success stories of Dr. Almanza and look at different peoples pictures. It would be so cool if we were both down there on the same day. I would be there to support you and help you through the surgery. My fiance is going to come with me and he is very supportive. We should talk more about this possibly in emails or instant messaging. I have made my deposit and I am saving money getting ready to go see Dr. Almanza. I talked to my doctor today and he said he doesn't want me to go because I could die while I am there. I am really discouraged and have no idea what to do. I am planning on getting the Sleeve. I have type 1 diabetes and I am tired of being heavy. I have tried every diet and nothing works. I want to be healthy for once and now after seeing the doctor I am confused. My doctor asked me to call some of the other people that have had surgery by Dr. Almanza and see how they are doing. If anyone can help me please let me know.
