Very Slow Loser
Charda, I totaly understand how you feel. I was banded on Jan. 24 I lost 12lbs before surgery, after surgery I've lost another 22lbs for a total of 34lbs to date. I have a 10cc band and I have about 5.25cc in the band right now. I think I'm finally in the green zone. My doctor his happy with my progress so far and I really don't want to lose weight to fast so my skin can shrink back somewhat and hopefully losing weight slow I will be able to keep it off. I've been trying to do strenght training to gain some muscle while I'm losing weight. (my trainer tells me I don't want to be skinny fat...lol). Also what is helping me is I can see I'm getting my waist back and today I could tell my thighs are getting smaller which makes me happy and try not to focus on the number on the scale too much. Which can be very very hard. So keep up the good work I think you doing an awesome job in no time you will one day see your hard work paying off.

Your Progess-Feel Like I Should've Lost More At This Poing
I was banded on 1/24/12 and I have only lost 18lbs since surgery, but a total of 33lbs since I started my process (July 2011). I think I'm getting in the green zone, and I just kicked up my exercise by joining a gym and I have a trainer once a week we are working on gaining muscle since it will burn more calories than just cardio. So I think you are doing awesome.

Extremely Nervous About Walking In To The Gym, Let Alone Working Out
I just joined a gym this week I also will have a personal trainer 4 times a month for the next year. I'm scared and excited at the same time lol. I already had one session and yikes I was in pain, but I think it will be worth it. I was banded on Jan 24, 2012 and my weight loss has been so slow I'm hoping this will give me a push to loosing just a little faster. I would like to lose 5lb a month. I don't think that is too much to ask for vs. my current 3lbs a month. It took me awhile to join the gym because I just don't like the idea of working out in front of people, because I feel very insecure about myself. I'm so out of shape and embarrassed of how out of shape I am, but I just have to get over it if I want to be healthy

Lapband And Diabetes
About 2 months after being banded and 1 fill I had my A1C checked. I went from 6.7 to 6.2 Before sugery I was on 1000 mg of metformin. After surgery I was taking 500 mg of metformin, and after my first fill I was cutting my 500mg pill in 1/2 and now I'm only taking 250mg of metformin. The doctor told me If I loose another 10lbs to stop taking my meds all together.

Pain Just Under Ribcage.
I sometimes get pain under my left ribcage. I just had my second fill today and mentioned it to my doctor and I think my stomach is getting smaller, so even though I am eating less I think the stomach is pushing on the band if I eat a little more than I should have. It only last about an hour.
