Was nervous to have it done been overweight most of my life
 
Now that Im over 60 years its staring to effect my quality of life had it done on may 25 2011 very easy for me no post surgery pain at all just some soreness the first three weeks I could not eat much at all and had no appetite  at all....When I went to to my Dr. one week after surgery he said it will change you are healing from the surgery. Well was he right.....went from the liquid stage right to the soft food stage,missed the whole puree stage....and after three weeks was eating everything without any restriction just had to chew well and not eat too fast,was still lossing weight but realized it was my will power not the band.My weight pre surgery 373 lbs when I was weight at the DR office  in june 2010 took over a whole year to get the insurance cleared so when I first meet with my surgeon I weighed 348lbs so I lost some weight on my own so got the surgery approved and went on that two week low cal. veggies and protein drinks diet lost more weight, weighed in at pre addmission at 325lbs..Had the surgery on May 25th 2011 after the first week at home went back to the Dr. office weighed 318lbs had my first fill on july 11th weighed in at 302lbs After a few days at home did not feel any restriction at all, and started to eat again like before ,had family over for a week from out of town and ate too much went to a party at my sister house and ate too much, have to go back for a fill in 3 weeks and I'm affraid to get on the scale have to work hard the rest of the time don't want to put back any weight since I have such a long road ahead of me 100lb more to lose...goal weight 190 to 205lbs ......like I was at 25 years old wish me luck
