  1. I am trying to make up my mind as to what surgery to have or even to have the surgery. I do not have insurance to cover it so it is a big investment for me in many ways. I would love to hear from some of you that have had the band for a while. Is it still working? Anyone had the band slip or any other complications I should consider? I go to the Dr. today for the consult, and I am very aprehensive. Would appreciate your input.
  2. Oops..sorry. Just realized this is all lap band blogs. I was on a different site earlier.
  3. Thanks for the info Roziecakes. I don't understand why you have to lose weight before surgery. Also, what procedure did you have done? I ma having the lap-band. (I think ..if I am approved.)
  4. Hi Bella Bear. I will be self pay also. You are the first self pay I have seen on here. About how long after your consult did you have to wait before scheduling surgery (since you did not have to be approved by ins. and all)? I will have the consult with the surgeon on Monday and was wondering what all you have to go through if you are self pay. By now you have had your surgery - how are you doing? I hope everything went well. Like you, this is a big commitment for me because it is so expensive. (not just the expense but it is a lot of money!) Let us know how you are doing. Can't wait to hear.
