Hey Gang~ I am sick still...and think it is getting worse. This is the 4th sinus infection I've had this year...and I am beyond pissed now. I coughed all night and called in for a sub at 1am! The worse part is that yesterday I had meetings all day...and the same tomorrow. My new special kids starts today...and to have a sub for the first 2 days is not good. I dreampt (did I spell that right) about him all night. If I felt even 10% better, I'd be at work today. My head is still soooo stuffy...I just want to lay down. Kat~ We love you! Hey V's~ I was up at 6 and at the gym at 6:30. Worked for an hour...then home to shower and get ready. MIL came a couple hours later. She brought her dear friends and we went to eat, now home to relax. It is raining on and off today...really cool because it is 60 degrees and a nice day! I just got off the phone w/ my diss chair and got the best news. I won't bore you w/ the details...you all have been great...but lets just say, my life just got a lot easier!!! I got news last week that threw me for a loop and I called a statistician to help. Well, he ran some tests and ended up calling her and got me out of a world of shit! HAHA...I am so happy. I have a ton of work to do...but at least I GET THIS WORK, where as before, I thought she was speaking another language. YEAH! Kat...how are things on the homefront today! I thought about you this morning and sent you much love, peace and strength to get through this all. xoxooxox

Kat, I am so glad to hear from you. I was way off, but glad to hear that Kinsey is taking it like a trouper! She sounds like a very cool kid. We went to the bowling alley and had drinks and bowling after school! It was super fun. I am not very good, but Susanne met us after work and she is really good. I had 4 or 5 "skinny black biotches" or vodka and diet w/ a lime wedge. They are good and went down like 'butta'! It felt good to unwind. At work, I am getting this AMAZING CHALLENGING STUDENT. He is famous at school, and is moving from his Emotional Disabled class, to my English Language Development class. I was bawling last night...I've been having an amazing year and now my entire dynamic is gonna change. I will never be able to convey how this will change my year. His former teacher he spat at, punched her in the breast, threw shit...the list goes on. I am really trying to "smile and accept the challenge", but honestly, I am mourning the loss of my year as I knew it. Again, word will not get my message across here. He kicked our butts today. Sus had to work at 7, so we had to leave about 5:45 today. That is ok, I had to pick up 30 donuts from the shop next door to the gym for the kids. Anyway, after our workout, he made us RUN!!! Yes, I actually ran for 1/8 of a mile. I was panting like dog. But, hey...I RAN! I'll work up to a 1/4 of a mile...slowly. Hey Girls, We have a busy day here...going on a field trip! The kids are going to see a performance about 30 min away. I know you all wish you could trade places w/ me and ride on a yellow school bus w/ 67 screaming middle school kids! Anyone? Anyone? I am in the paper today announcing being seated on the Human Rights Commission. Kinda cool cause I've already had a few people call to say congrats! I love that the appointment happened on Jan 21, mom's birthday! I like to think she had something to do w/ it. We have not worked out this week. I am NOT supposed to sweat w/ the new tat...but I have to tomorrow. Starting to feel slothy...and after going 5 days last week, I don't want to lose momentum. Morning Girls~ What a day yesterday! The trainer was great. I am a bit sore today, not like I thought I would be. I really still feel it in my biceps and some of my shoulder moves...but not too bad. I think it helped that we've been working out for a couple months...and doing really good in Jan. I am not going to weigh again for a while...but I can totally tell how I look and feel. I am not sure if the number is actually lower, but my entire body carries differently, the girls are higher (or the tummy is less), and my ass is hard! I love it! Next was the tattoo. I spent 2.5 hours getting it done, and then burst into tears! I could not take the pain anymore. My skin was raw and I needed a break. I have the outline done, and the 30% of the color in. I have to wait for 20-30 days to go back. The artist said she cried during her back on too...hurt like hell! At one point I thought I was going to pass out. IT DID NOT HURT ON MY ASS LIKE THIS. But I totally LOVE it! She incorporated the violets into the butterfly wings. It is lots of green for the vines and purple for the violets, w/ fuchia accents. I have it on my phone and I've just tried to email to myself. If I can pull it off, I'll email to ya'll. The pix does not have the color...it was taken before the green was started. I'll get more pix later and show you when I get it, but at least you can see the outline. NOTE THE VIOLETS IN THE BOTTOM OF THE WINGS! I love it, and can't wait to finish it! Then it was on to dinner. I did pretty good too. Diet coke, 1 shredded beef taco, and some chips and salsa. Not bad considering what our friends ate, lol. Then on to the concert. I don't know how many of you Violets know/like Motley Crue. They are this hard rock band from the 80's and 90's. Tommy Lee (drummer), Vince Neil, Nikki Sixx, and Nick Rhodes. Anywho, they really rocked! They sounded just as good as before...even better. This was my first time seeing them, but I LOVED it. It was a blast and we all rocked out. My two other friends got tattos too. I did leave a bit early. EVERYONE was really drinking...heavily. I was not drinking at all. The concert is about 25 min from home on the 10 freeway. I wanted to be long off the road before all the drunk folks got on the highway. It was great to finally get in bed after a long day! Today it is all about the game.
