  2. Hey Tammy here- RN for 8 years- 7 of them psych- sleeved 2/2011- great first 2 years then I had to start putting forth more effort- what a ride it's been- losing my job in jan so hoping that stress doesn't get me off track- I'd like to encourage other sleevers- hopefully me supporting others will keep me on track - I really wish everyone well- it's NOT a quick fix but a tool- manage it well, listen to your sleeve, and you will succeed- God bless

  4. I was sleeved 2011- need to get back on track and remember why I started- any tips? You go proud mom! I'm also doing the 5 day pouch- would love to support others as well
  5. Notice the big print! I will be 50 in July and am dreading it. I am 3 months out, love my sleeve, lost 56 lbs. I have the same issues, hard to find clothes sometimes that aren't for a 14 year old or a 70 year old (please don't anyone take offence). I am going to wear what I am comfortable in, what I feel confident in. I hope you will do the same.
  6. Congratulations! I was sleeved in February in North Carolina- hang in there-be good to yourself and take time to heal
  7. My surgeon was Dr. Gersin with Carolinas Weight Management. I stayed at Mercy Hospital in Charlotte, N.C. for my sleeve. I also had to have a hiatal hernia repair at the same time. The procedure went smoothly and I had no complications. Anyone in this region of the country that is thinking of having batriatric surgery needs to look this group up, they are awesome!
  8. Mini goals are great! I really believe they helped me to lose 54 lbs. My next goal is to get to 150 by June 15. That means I need to lose 8 lbs in 4 weeks, I think I can do it! Hitting the gym today!!
  9. thanks so much for this post! I am starting a new support group next month and cannot wait! I believe you have to have an outlet for your frustrations, examining your loss (weight, comfort foods, friends?), etc..
  10. :youcandothis:New to blogging-ready to talk about this-had my sleeve on Feb 17, 2011- so wish I had done it sooner, almost did 4 years ago. I have done very well but am struggling now with anxiety and depression. Partly due to other issues but I am determined to be successful-it really helps to talk to others. I like to be encouraged and encourage others- I m reading a book called The Beck Diet Solution-I highly recommend it, my MDs office recommended it, deals with cognitive behavior modification. Lost 25lbs before surgery and 28 lbs since surgery! Yahh !
