  1. I should also quickly say that I've tried painkillers and heartburn medication, but neither seemed to have any effect.
  2. Hi all, I'm three days post op, and had been feeling surprisingly okay until today - no gas pain, nausea etc. But this morning, I woke up at 4am with really violent dry heaves - had there been anything down there, I'd definitely have been sick. It lasted for about an hour, until I managed to get an anti-sickness med down. Then, when I woke up a bit later, I had the most incredible pain in the middle of my chest, which I've now had all day. It hurts the most when I breathe in deeply, and every so often feels almost like a super painful spasm or something. Does anyone have any idea what the pain is or how to relieve it? My mum has had me walking around all day which has actually made it worse, and I have stuck to my "small sips of liquid" post-op diet, so am kind of stumped!
