  1. Yes, my 5th Lapband, lapband revision die to slippage, lapband removal due to erosion, gastric sleeve and now bypass. Sleeve worked great, but ended up with severe heartburn and damage to my esophagus. Hopefully this will resolve that!
  2. This is my 5th bariatric surgery and I’ve had to drink the magnesium citrate very time the day before. Never had an issue. But this is also the first time I had to take dulcolax and that hit me hard within an hour after I took it. I think between that and whatever I kept down from the MC, I should be ok for tomorrow. Thanks for all your replies! I was definitely in panic mode.
  3. Drank the magnesium citrate about required for surgery tomorrow and threw up about 10 minutes after finishing it. Did this happen to anyone else? I don’t know who to call on a Sunday for info. I did take 2 dulcolax this morning (also required as part of bowel prep).

  6. Received approval from insurance (BCBS of MN) yesterday, after they denied it the first time. I can finally be excited for 8/17!!
  7. These must be very common! They found mine during the endoscopy too. Surgeon says not to worry, it gets repaired at the same time as the band.
  8. I have BCBS of MN and just received a denial letter yesterday. They stated it because I only had 2 mths of a supervised weight program, but had all the backup submitted showed two YEARS!!! The insurance cooridinator at the hospital appealed on my behalf, and now I'm waiting for an answer. It's so frustrating.
  9. I am scheduled for 8/17/09 pending insurance approval...still waiting <tapping foot>
