  1. I am no longer being banded (switched to RNY), but my surgery date is Aug. 16... YAY for August WLS peeps!
  2. My surgeon is Dr. Boorse's associate Dr. Harrison. My surgery is scheduled for August 16. I have heard very good things about both Boorse and Harrison, so we should be in good hands :-)
  3. I am from Allentown! Who's your surgeon??? I don't have a date yet...I meet with my surgeon next Thursday, so I'm hoping to get a tentative date then. I'm hoping for mid-July-early August for my surgery so I have enough time to recover before school starts back up!
  4. I have a Mirena IUD and I hadn't had any kids. My gyno said that it would be more painful to insert than if I had given birth becuase of the cervix never been opened before...and trust me, it was pretty painful to insert. He had to numb my cervix to even begin opening my cervix wide enough to insert it. But it was all worth it in the end...no babies for me for the next few years and no worries about missing pills...plus, i no longer get my period!
