  1. Hi Lisa, I attended Dr Goldstein's seminar on May 5th and also decided he is the surgeon for me. Plus my primary doctor told me all about him as well. I would like to know the steps with Dr Goldstein. I have an appt with him next week but I am anixous to know now lol Do you live in NJ? It's so nice to see someone else on this broad close to home.
  2. My insurance policy says the same thing but I called (and happen to get a nice guy) and he told me what I have read but then I told him what if my PCP is recommending due to an illness and he said it will have to go through appeal but to make sure my doctor provides historical information and he even gave me the fax number to give to my PCP lol I am praying to God each night that I get approve. Good luck.
  3. I have UHC also and I want to be ahead of the game and have all of this information for my consulting appt. Should I wait or just go ahead and get it. If so, how does one get started? I have switched PCP at the beginning of the year. What do I say to my old primary? I need weight history for such and such? So I go to my GYN doctors? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. thanks
  4. we can support each other. when is your surgery?
  5. WOW you are an inspiration. Thank you for sharing!!
  6. Hi I am new and looking for a mentor/buddy to guide me through this journey. I am 42 and married. I have two small children, daughter (8) and son (6) they keep me busy. I work full time in Philly and live in NJ. Thanks
  7. OMG congrats on your little bundle of joy!!! Wow!! At this point of my life I want to be 110% commented. There's something different about the way I feel that makes me think I am going to be dedicated not fail like I did while going to the gym. I see you are in Philly? I work in Philly but live in NJ
  8. I have to agree with my fellow poste...Dr Adam Goldstein in Voorhees NJ and Sewell, NJ (where I am seeing him). I went to his seminar and was "ahhh" with his presentation. He is so down to earth. I have search and found he is best for me. Good luck.
  9. Thanks for getting back tome so quickly. I hope I get approve. IF not through my work we have Keystone and hopefully on Open Enrollment I will switch LOL If you don't mind me asking...what can I expect at my consult visit? Do they do some testing at the office? Or just go through your medical history and send you off to get started on bloodwork and etc? It so excited to see your weight ticker and hope to me someday lol Thanks,
  10. Congrats! I went to one of his seminar and was very comfortable. I already scheduled a consult with him at the end of this month. I am so excited but I am afraid that my insurance is going to deny me. Did you have any hiccups with your insurance company? thanks
