  1. I don't know if this will help or not. But I was reading the Atkins For A New You diet book and it mentioned in there that if you make sure you are getting some salt in your diet it will keep you from getting that dissy and fainting feeling from your calories being so restricted. Hope this helps. Have a good week.
  2. Cool!! Can't wait to see you on the losers bench! Have a good weekend! I will be thinking about you on Monday. Whoot! Wishing you the best of luck on your surgery and speedy recovery!!
  3. I am 4 1/2 months post-op and have a great NSV to share with you all. I was shopping at Wal-mart tonite when I turned the corner looking for something for my granddaughter when I ran into a co-worker from maybe 15 years ago. She looked at me took a double take and said "Diane you look great"!! Well we were standing there having a casual conversation and she kept looking at me, and looking at me and finally she said "I'm sorry that I keep looking at you but you look so great"!! "I just can't get over how good you look and you look 20 years younger"!!! WOW was my reply you don't need to say you are sorry you made my day!! Needless to say this big smile of mine isn't coming off my face for the rest of the day for sure!! And this from a woman who hasn't been more than 10 lbs. overweight for her entire fifty some years. Have a good rest of the day everyone I know I will. LOLS
  4. I too think that your are doing great!! I am 4 months and 1 week post-op and I find that when the scale stalls it is fustraing also. But usually what seems to be happening with me is I notice that I am losing inches, cuz I can fit in smaller size clothing even though the number on the scale isn't moving. And sometimes I will stall and be the same for a week and then the next week when I do my weight-in I suddenly drop like 4 lbs. So hang in there kiddo!! We certaintly didn't get fat in a week and we sure aren't gonna get skinny in a week either I guess. LOLS. But it seems to me that your are doing just fine. It will be worth all the agony in the long run because this time the weightloss is for KEEPS!! Thanks to our amazing new TOOL!!!!

  10. I agree with apple-saucy !! I thik u r doing gre8t - when I went to see my surgeon at my 2 month check I had lost 34 lbs in 2 months. I asked how I was doing cuz I thought I should be losing faster. His response was if you were a rny patient I would expect u to lose 33 lbs in 3 months and you have lost 34 lbs in 2 months - you are doing great. Because supposedly RNY patients lose weight faster. So if you are asking me I think you are doings just FINE!! Keep up the GRE8T WORK!!
  11. wow!! YOU LOOK AMAZING!! ( if I knew how to make this smiley guy dance he'd be dancing for you right now!! Keep up the good work - you are such an encouragement on this site! Thanks again!

  13. With spring & summer right around the corner - should be alot of rummage sales - I just got a cute pair of white capri's & a cute top for under $3.00 and you can stock up on items in smaller sizes really easily this way.
  14. I take 3 stool softeners a day everyday, without any problems, I go about every 3 days and it works great for me. Otherwise I don't seem to be able to go. And i just take the store generic brand when they are on sale. Have a great week!
  15. I whole heartedly agree with ya ThatDudesMom! I would also like a tummy tuck and whatever it takes to get rid of my "BatWings" LOLS! I went for a PostOp 3 month check-up the nurse said did you get to the support group meeting with the plastic surgeon? I said No was still laid up from surgery! She exclaimed well at Aurora BayCare we have a total body lift! How much I ask? Only $18,000 - not covered by insurance! I said OH SURE!! like thats gonna ever happen for me LOLS. Sounds great though!! I am 56 years old - but I am still gonna wait I think 2 years to see IF anything snaps back! "positive thinking" can't hurt can it ? Then I will decide if I want to bother fixing anything. Right now I am just happy that everything LOOKS good in clothes! LOLS Have a great rest of the week and a good weekend.
  16. I was wondering what kind of Protein Bars you buy? Do they taste good? And how many calories and carbs do the bars contain? I was thinking about getting some for inbetween Snacks to keep up on my protein. I know this is alot of questions but actually have 1 more. What stores do you purchase these bars at. If not too many carbs/calories I would like to get some. Thanks !! Also great job on your weightloss!!
  17. Hey Juliarh! I just wanted to comment on how GRE8T you look but wanted to tell you someting cute! Two days ago before you posted this I was just reading all the posts and saw your picture in a reply and thought to myself BOY she really has lost some more weight cuz I could tell in ur picture. Great job. Keep up the good work!
  18. Yay! Kelley - Hope everything goes well for you. You will love your sleeve!
  19. mskissty! I think u are doing great! I think when you lose at a steady pace you have a tendency to keep it off. Great job so far. Just keep plugging away and work that sleeve.
  20. Whoot! Whoot! 2 months Post-Op Drs. appointment today and I am down 34 LBS. since my surgery on Feb. 14th, 2011. Asked my Dr. how he felt I was doing as far as losing weight goes. He said well let me put it this way, if you were a RNY patient I would have expected you to lose 33 LBS. in 3 months and you have lost surpassed that in only 2 months and you are a sleeve patient. I could've (hugged) my Dr. he made my week. Have to see him in a month so hopefully I will have some more off by then, cuz theres no stopping me now! LOLS! "I LOVE MY SLEEVE"! Hope everyone else has a GREAT WEEK also!!
  21. Congratulations !! you are doing awesome!!
