5.5 Year Update, with pics!
Hello Everyone! It's crazy that it's been 5.5 years since I was sleeved. It was the best decision I ever made. But, it's still hard! The last few months I have put back on some pounds. I'm determined to get them off and keep them off! It seemed like it was right at about the 3 year mark, that weight started to come back on really easy, and it's been a struggle since. I hadn't been on the forum here forever, so I thought I would get back on for some inspiration. Below is a before pic, and I couple of recent pics. Starting Weight: 320 Lowest Weight since: 195 Current Weight: 213

Going #2
I completely understand! Now it seems like I only have to go about once a week. But when I do, its a doozy! I clog up the toilet about every time. I think I'm going to start experimenting with some stool softeners and hopefully stay a little more regular.

136lbs in 8 months and this loose skin is starting to suck
I hear ya man! I was sleeved in May and have lost 105 pounds. I wish I would have seen warning like this on loose skin before hand. It's still been a great process.....but this part has been disapointing. I too have been working out a lot and my arms aren't too bad....but my stomach is horrible. Lately I've been wearing a compression shirt (http://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B005MESREU/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). It doesn't help when I want to take my shirt off at the beach. But the rest of the times it makes me feel so much more firm. It keeps my stomach skin from hanging there and flapping around.

Sleeve weight loss times?
I just reached my goal of losing 100 pounds (started at 300). I'm a 28 year old male, and it took me 9 months. The first 3 months I about 50, in the next 3 months about 35, and then it took another 3 months to get the last 15 off. Good luck!

I hit my goal! 100 pounds (with pics)!
It was just a year ago I first heard about the sleeve. I hit the grounds running and flew through all the hoops to make it happen. I was sleeved on May 3rd, and now I have hit my goal of losing 100 pounds! It has been a great journey!

Catheter?
I had one when I was sleaved. No, it's not fun, but it's bearable. I was in enough pain from the surgery, that having a catheter wasn't my biggest concern. So you'll be just fine!

Im so thirsty !
Hang in there! It does get better. I am 10 weeks out, and can chug over half a glass of water, then 5 minutes later I finish off the other half. Just make sure that you're constantly sipping whenever you're awake.

When do you start counting calories and protein?
Vixynne, you are right! liquid is in ounces and protein in grams. In my post I accidentally wrote ounces for both.

When do you start counting calories and protein?
You should be getting in 60 ounces of Water a day along with 60 ounces of Protein. Since you are still on Protein shakes, it's easy to judge that since you know how much is in each one. Just always remember to be sipping on one or the other anytime you are awake! I'm 8 weeks out and I never count calories. I've lost 70 pounds, and I don't see the point of counting everything when I am still losing well. If I eat my meat first, then some veggies I know I'm good. As I recall, I started to feel a lot better on day 4, so I hope you do too! Good luck!

4 days out.....Why am I so hungry?!
Hello Sue! I can't help you there....I haven't had any acid reflux. I am about 8 weeks out, so I'm hoping that it just won't be a problem for me. If you look around on the forum there are probably some discussions, or you could start a new thread. Good luck!

Dating and letting them know you had surgery
I don't think I would try to keep it a secret. Obviously we don't need to tell our dates about our entire medical history, but this is something that does effect our daily interactions with them. It effects how much we can eat and what we can eat. If we have to keep secrets like that from the person we are dating, it's probably not going to be a healthy relationship. And...why are there all of these woman posting in the Man Room?

Nebraska Sleevers...
Jansleeve1, I had my surgery in North Platte. I had a great experience. You should request Dr. Siep. He's the best!

Charobated drinks like Mineral what
You're not supposed to drink any carbonated drinks, even if they don't have sugar. It's because your stomach will be too small to handle the bubbles. But, I think that most people start drinking some eventually. Just be careful!
