  1. IS lapband possible for a peritoneal dialysis patient ?

    Hi all I am new to this forum and have a question that may require an expert to answer. My wife is on Peritoneal Dialysis (she has dialysis Fluid in her peritoneum all the time). So my question is when they insert the Lapband wouldn't it compromise the peritoneum causing the dialysis fluid to leak ? Just wondering as she needs to lose a lot of weight in order to qualify for a kidney transplant. Thanks for any help you may be able to offer, DDP
