  1. Hi everyone, my name is Tammy I am 52 years old.. I am just starting this process and want to lose 145 lbs. I weight 282 now. I have always had weight issues, but never this bad. So I am ready to make a change. First I found my Surgeon Dr michael King - Oxford, Ms.. They contacted my insurance and told me what the crieria was. They have been very helpful. 1st - Met with my pcp and he wrote me a clearance letter and sent my medical records to my surgeon. 2nd - Pulmomologist Appt. on April 19th 3rd - Cardiologist Appt. on April 25th 4th - Psycological Evaluation on May 24th After all these doctors sent in the clearance letters, then I will get my first appt. with the surgeon. Hopefully I will be approved and be on my way to a new leaner life.
  2. Thank you Donna, they really should have a book on all this..lol
  3. Hi everyone, this is my first time on here... I have found a surgeon, They told me what my insurance requires, I went to my doctor who gave me a clearance letter for surgery and faxed it to the surgeon, He is making my appointments for the cardiologist and the pulmonologist and I have made an appointement for the psycological evaluation. So after all these clearance letters are faxed to the surgeon, what happens next???? This is all so confusing. Thanks for any help you can give me...
