thanks new...the band didnt work as i didnt exercise...or follow the docs instructions...i was over confident....but now I am determined to make the sleeve work...

my sleeve has eroded...no weight loss...i was gaining weight....now when ever I bend down to do some work... get slight pain for some time.. gong to the doc tomorrow...he said he will try for sleeve while removing the band...if possible...otherwise wait for few months,,, quite anxious..

even I am not keen on telling my co workers...they will only gossip and talk bad...besides I did lap band..2 yrs ago .it didnt help much...now going for sleeve...so better keep mum.. maybe after a year if results are excellent i can disclose.

even i have the same problem. severe arthritis .But they will give you liquid pain killers...i am sure we can manage...all the best.

can we take tablets after sleeve...but the tablets must be passing through very quickly....so do they get absorbed?how do we take our vitamins.

so I think its better to work out and follow doctors orders for good weight loss...i am going for the sleeve soon..so thanks all for this information!!!

i got the band with the same idea. Its reversible ...and comparatively a simple surgery...but alas ..it has eroded and now I have to go for sleeve...I am a bit scared ....it is a major operation,can have complications,recovery time is much more and so on.. I will follow doctor's orders sincerely...wish me luck.

even I am too worried about a leak...I haven't yet had my sleeve done..

RJ...you really had it tough...But your weight loss is amazing!!! but what causes a leak...we dont really know...can anyone guide us..

hi...3 weeks and u are still very weak...I wonder how much time i will take...i was too weak after the band...felt miserable....and sleeve is a really major thing isnt it.. i am planning it end of Jan. wish me luck..

i am sure you will be fine...cheer up...weakness will soon go away...and you will be happy looking at yourself.

hi American girl...leaking is rare...only if u eat too early there are problems...other wise soon the stomach tissue grows over the staples.

I have been taking NSAIDS for years. maybe thats why my band eroded. Now i am going for sleeve. Can I take my medicines? I think I have to wait till stomach heals. can anyone guide me please. Does anyone use Lidoderm (lidocaine) strips ?

when I had the band I too was eating more than 1000 cals..and now even with less cals wt does not go down....body has adjusted to less food...unfortunately.. try some Soup to reduce your hunger pangs...I know its easy to preach....but i am sure you can over come this phase....dont be depressed...srtess and depression also causes weight gain.. all the best dear....

hello, many of my doubts cleared. I am a vegetarian....i think thats why my band failed...couldn't get enough protein. what about the sleeve?

yes...i have been thinking I was smart and followed my own diet...rarely exercised...but now I am wiser...I dont have a lot to loose...I am 86kg...but I do want to loose 20 kg...and be fit and healthy in my old age.

thanks...i know why it failed...I dodnt exercise,hardly visited the doctor,dint follow their diet either.the doctor is far away. its totally my fault....but I will be in touch with my doc this time.

hi...I am mostly getting the sleeve by jan end...that is if nad removal and sleeve can be done at the same time...keeping my fingers crossed!!!

i got my band in 2011.my band didnt work....i lost 6kg in the first month and then nothing....now the band has eroded. i want to go for sleeve. but will I loose weight? will it be a waste again? Its a major surgery,not reversible. I do want to go for it. I am praying it works.

i am 60 and am removing the eroded band and then going for sleeve.My band failed due to NSAIDS ....and lack of exercise....did you all walka lot with the sleeve.... i do want to loose weight as I have severe arthritis.
