  1. They made me keep my bed at a 45 degree angle the whole time I was in the hospital and the CO gas pain was minimal and only lasted about a day. Much better then when I had my gallbladder out, that was miserable. The extra strength GasX strips worked for me after I got home, they also gave a liquid while in the hospital for gas, it helped some. Some of the other discomfort you feel is from esophageal spasms when it gets mad because it can't move things into your swollen stomach very fast. They can give you something for this too, and it helps. Good luck with your surgery.
  2.    MSanti reacted to a post in a topic: Having Sleeve surgery May 2nd!!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. I get my sleeve on May 2nd too! I started my preop diet last week and have lost 7.5 lbs. I am excited to get the journey started. I'm not nervous about the surgery or the recovery at all, but the magnitude of the life change that is coming and wiether or not I will be successful is a little daunting. I just don't want to fail this too. I am taking pajama bottoms, my kindle and some ear plugs with me for my one night stay.
  4. My doctor just told me yesterday to start any cardio right away, but hold off on swimming and lifting for 2 weeks.
