  1. It's a great book. Jean is active on another lapband website called obesityhelp.com lapband forum
  2. Hi Guys. My surgery is July 7th. I am 58 years old married with 2 grown kids. I am really nervous about the surgery. Not the surgery itself, but the complications that so many people seem to have. Apparently many get horrible reflux and vomit alot. I hope I am not one of those people. I was on this other website and people who were unsuccessful with the band were trying to talk me out of it. I'm really freaked out!
  3. Congratulations! I get my band on July 7th!
  4. I have heard that the band stimulates something called the vagus nerve which gives you the feeling of fullness.
  5. Obesityhelp.com lapband forum is very helpful as well as this site.
  6. I read on another lap band board(Obesityhelp.com) that a lapbander was only taking in 700-800 calories and not losing. Her Doctor told her to up to about 1200, and she lost about 5 lbs that week alone.
  7. Have any of you come across unsweetened flavored protein powder? I am looking for a good tasting choolate and vanilla powder thats not pre sweetened. I have tasted Unjury which is good tasting except for the cloying sweetness of the artifical sweetner in it.
