I was very nervous, too. But, just know that you can do this! It's hard, but you are about to take control of it. Congrats on your surgery date!! Keep us posted.
I'm so excited! I've lost 9lbs in 5 days. I haven't had any nausea or reflux; however, post-op pain has been pretty bad. I'm convinced that if I can do this, EVERYONE can do this! As bad as it hurts, as many times as you think, "what have I DONE to myself?!?!", as many times as you have a little craving, just remember it's worth it. You WILL become a new person.
Being able to wrap a towel around myself
Confidence
Being desired again
Not breathing heavily after walking short distances
Not being embarrassed by heavy breathing after walking those short distances
Crossing my legs
Not sweating as easily
Not having my pants rubbed thin between the thighs
Having people see me as ME... instead of the fat girl
Not having to worry about how someone would describe me.. "you know... the short, fat chick over there."
Fall in love again
BE ACTIVE!!!!
Being able to love myself again
I could literally name 100 more....
My sleeve is 3/15/11, and I'm very nervous. How are the other pre-oppers doing on their pre-op diet? I'm finding it a little difficult. However, I have lost 3lbs since 3/4/11. Does that mean I'm following it better than I thought I was? ha. The only protein suppliments I can stomach are the New Whey 42g shots. I've tried drinking the powders/shakes, but I get nauseated and can't finish them. (I think it's the texture.) I've been drinking alot of soups, water, apple juice and eating ham and cheese lean pockets. I guess I'm just nervous and questioning myself. Any tips to get me through these last couple of days?
Congrats! That's wonderful hear! I've been needing some encouragement lately. I get sleeved March 15th, and I'm getting very nervous. Ok, Marchies! We can do this. How is everyone doing on their pre-op diets?
