  4. I named mine George. It was a nick name my late father had for me as a child (my sister was Ralph), so it was an homage to him. Best of luck to you on your journey.

  8. It's not about what you can eat, but more about what it takes to make you feel satisfied. I can eat two whole slices of pizza too, but I'm quite satisfied after one and don't need the other to feel satisfied. Just my 2 cents!

  13. My hair and nails are doing quite well too. I'm not sure if it's any different than before, as I have always been blesses with great hair and nails, but I was expecting issues, but yay! none!! Awesome and congrats on your journey!
  14. Congratulations. It is indeed a feat! I'll get there someday too!
  15. Keep your chin up and keep at it. Venting does help. I'm not going to offer advice, as my advice is all in your "I know" parts. So just keep your chin up and keep at it! We will all be successful, just some of us slower than others!
  16. My doctor's office asks for you to not have pre op and none for the first few months post op, but once you are back to normal diet it's ok in lesser quantities and they ask that we limit caffiene intake and make sure to compensate extra liquids when we do partake in caffiene. Good luck!
  17. lady_dragyn checking in. Still 275. No plus or minus. I'm a little disappointed, but it's still a 4lb loss for the challenge. At least it wasn't a gain. Hope everyone has a great holiday weekend!

  19. So I had my first actual NSV (except for the usual donating of clothing) since surgery. It seems a little crazy to me, but I was so happy. I got out of the shower and wrapped the towel around me (like always) and it actually fit around me and overlapped a bit and covered me like it was supposed to. Now mind you it's still one of the big ones, but it fit! it fit! it's been 15 years since that happened I was pretty happy. So glad everyone is doing well. We will all be successful. We have to be
  20. Lady_Dragyn checking in - stayed the same - no + or - = 275 Did have a NSV though - seems silly, but it's been a long time - my bath towel actually wrapped around me and met on the other side all the way down! Yay me! It was one of the big ones, but I'll still take it.
  21. well handled, and while in my head I would have down right ugly and rude, I think the best way to handle these situations is exactly how you did. Kill them with kindness. I work in a very confrontational/difficult job (auto claims adjuster) and have learned this over the years. Well done and good luck to you.
  22. My NUT and doc's office said not to coffee due to the acids and that only decaf tea. Once the healing is done and things have calmed/progressed, it's ok to have "watered" down coffee (to cut the acidity per my NUT). By watered down she said mix with skim milk to make it a light brown color and use an artificial sweetner if necessary. I am about 2.5 weeks out and allow myself 1 or 2 cups a week. I never had an addiction to caffiene (never had headaches when I didn't drink it or when I gave it up 2 months before surgery) I just truly enjoy the taste of coffee
