  1. I am also getting banded June 20th!!! I cant wait! No pre op diet for me so i got lucky but im gonna do meal replacements a few days before surgery hoping it will make the transition a little easier. Lets stay in touch! Jessica
  2. Im not banded yet but getting my date tomorrow. Im terrified of sabotaging myself. I have done it for so long which has got me where I am now. I definately need to change slot of bad habits. Thinking of getting back into therapy to help guide me through this process.
  3. I work 3rd shift midnight to 8am but im not banded yet. Going through all of my testing next week and hoping for a date by the end of the month
  4. I used the electronic cigerette (cigotine) to quit smoking. I smoked a pack to a pack and a half a day for 15 years. I bought the cig and still smoked a regular cigerette once or twice a day for the 1st few days of use then continued to just use the electronic cigerette for 3 weeks. They sell cartridges with different millagrams of nicotine so you can wheen yourself off it. It really helped me quit and I would recommend it to anyone trying to quit. I havent had my surgery yet but have been under anestheasia twice. Nothing to be affraid of, you just get sleepy and fall asleep just like you would when you go to bed at night. Hope this helps a little
  5. Actually im getting the same feeling. Im 28 yr old female, single, no kids but would like to have some hopefully in the future. I am currently going through a 3 month diet supervised by a nutritionist due to insurance requirements but just thinking about how soon it could come is making me nervous so your not alone. I keep thinking...if i buckle down i could do it on my own...do i really want this thing inside me for the rest of my life?...am i gonng be able to feel it inside me?...what if it doesnt work? All these things keep going through my head but what we need to realize is we have tried to do it on our own and obviously it didnt work or we wouldnt be considering the surgery in the first place. All i can say to you is follow your instincts and do what you think is right for you but your not alone, there are many people out there that are going through the same thing right now. Hope this helped a little
  6. whoa thats weird....how do you private chat on here?
  7. I am 28 5'2 and 300lbs also have had back problems half my life but my lower back pain has been horrible. I work 3rd shift which makes everything way more difficult. im always tired, get sick alot, have trouble sleeping and im never eating or drinking what i should. fortunately i quit smoking and drinking but after quiting i gained more weight. I also have polycystic ovarian syndrome (pcos) which also makes it difficult to lose weight. So I know how you feel. Hopefully we can stick together and get through this )

  9. So I literally just joined...i have been reading the things people have been posting for a few days now and have found it so helpful! I think this is probably the best idea for people to come together and share their stories and support each other. Im here for the same reason everyone else is.....to share my story and get the infomation and support i need to get through this. I have already gone to the seminar and have my consultation with the surgeon this tuesday march 15th. Any advice?
