  1. I know Portland is a ways away but, there is a group that meets regularly once a month. We also have online support in Yahoo groups. If you haven't checked it out, go to Yahoo.com and go to groups, then to lapband. Smartbandster and Bandsters are two good groups to start with. There are a ton of support sites there. I was banded in Mexico and had the *best* medical experience of my life. I go to a fill Dr. who has an office here in Portland, as well as in Eugene. This is the best thing I every did for myself, my husband and my family and I'd do it again in a nano-second. Good luck in your search, you're on your way to taking control of your life and insuring a much longer one.
