  1. Well, I was sleeved on March 22nd and the first 48 hours were absolutley awful! I was ready to give it back if I could...lol. And although I feeling better today I can't help but think what on earth have I done to myself. I have no energy (I have no idea how i'm gonna go back to work on Tuesday); the gas pain in my chest everytime I sip something is horrble and I'm just wondering....when will I feel like myself again! Just venting!!!
  2. Hey everyone thanks for all the comments! I'm home now but it has not been the greatest couple of days for me! I had "sleever's remorse" the first night...it was awful but with each day I'm feeling.g better. My sleeve is really tight so getting liquids down is tough. Keep praying for guys! Thanks!

  6. 1. Confidence 2.Shopping at any store 3.Crossing my legs 4. Not being the "fat" friend with a pretty face! lol
  7. Thanks for the post...I've been told I look like the chubby version of Laila Ali lol! But anyway I will be sleeved on 3/22 and have the exact same fears as you do. I always said I wanted to meet someone while I was heavy so I knew they really loved me but that never happened. So we'll see how this goes as we loose the weight. It's just apart of the journey...good luck!
  8. I do LOVE him he's so nice and personable! I'm scheduled for the 22nd and I have to see him a week after that. Ok, just wondering...did he put you on a liquid diet before the surgery? Because he told me I didn't need to go on one but every other Doctor told me at least 10 days of liquids pre-op. I just found the a little odd so please let me know if that's normal?
  9. Dr. Turnquest...i love him he's great!! They also have on at Memorial hermann in The Woodlands
  10. That's so good...I can't wait to get this procedure done and over with! I'm thinking about joining a support group too. My doctor has one it's on 1960 near 45. Not sure if that's near you or not?
  11. March 22nd with Dr. Turnquest in Houston!!
  12. Hi everyone! I'm scheduled for March 22nd...I can't wait!
  13. Hi everyone thanks for the advice...I just wanted to give an update. I decided to go with Dr. Turnquest and I'll be sleeved on March 22nd! I'm excited and nervous at the same time. Thank you all for taking the time to respond!
  14. Hi Everyone! I'm not really new to this site I've been lurking in the background but this is my first post. I'm writing this because I am confused on what to do and just need advice from people other than my friends and family. I was actually scheduled to have my sleeve done by Dr. Speigal on Feb. 3rd. I did my research in the beginning and was actually referred to him by 3 different people. But it seems like since I have scheduled the surgery I have heard so many horror stories about him. So I've started looking into other doctors but I'm just ready to have this surgery and on to a healthier life. So I was just wondering if anyone has had surgery by Dr. Speigal and how was your experience? Would you reccomend him or not? Any advice would be great...thanks!
