Can you Eat These Foods Eventually?
Steeler, I'm so right there with you, I had my sleeve done on Nov 9th and man let me tell you, with all the holiday cooking, the cookies, pumpkin bread and Thanksgiving meals I thought I was gonna die and made the worse decision of my life. I keep telling my husband I should of waited till the first of the year. But he calls me the incredible shrinking woman and then puts me in my place by reminding me how good I look and how I'm off all my prescriptions already. My main concern and question is meats, I'm soooo not liking this stage of the diet and I want me meats and salads back into my life and actually Im counting down to when I can have it again.

How did everyone do at Thanksgiving?
Well my sleeve is pretty new Nov 9th was my date. So all I had was a very small amount of mashed potatos smoothered in gravy. After a couple spoonfuls I was done for the night and now being around alot of people I caught a cold, uuugggghh. Oh and I cheated I had a lil spoonful of pumpkin pie without the crust, omg I was in heaven, lol.

Depression After Gastric Sleeve Surgery
I had my surgery Nov 9th, I wonder the same thing will I ever have my sleep back. Some people have stated it takes almost 3 months to get your body back into routine, I really hope not. I've called my Dr several times and the only thing he states is ya this is normal for some people and just try over the counter sleeping aids. Well I've tried benedryl, nothing just worked the opposite and tylenol pm the same thing.

Depression After Gastric Sleeve Surgery
Thanks for all this useful information, seriously the first week after my surgery I wanted to die. I couldn't stop crying and my husband was starting to get worried because of the things I was telling him. The emotions are on a roller coaster which I can deal with, I guess. My major hang up is sleep, I soooooo miss that. I'm a 8-10hr of sleep type of person and now Im lucky to get 4 hrs.

cant sleep well
Thats my problem, when I was working I was up at 430am, 3 days outta the week and on my off days I would sleep in till 9-10am, but now that I'm off I was like heck yea Im gonna sleep in and enjoy this time off, umm nope. I don't know how you deal with the LA traffic but I give you props. I'm in Riverside and get so fustrated sitting in 45 min traffic. I guess I will start working out early mornings while everyone else is sleeping and make use of this insomnia

cant sleep well
Well thank god Im not alone, my Dr said for me to go and try every over the counter sleep aids and see which one works, he must think I've got money, hee hee. From what I've been reading on all the other websites is that this should go away by the 3rd month, now if I keep my sanity that long is another question.

cant sleep well
I'm so glad I'm not the only one not sleeping and let me tell you it's driving me nuts. I'm the type of person who luvs to sleep and now I get 3 hours and I'm up by 2am just like a newborn and it's irritating. My Dr told me to try benedryl and tylenol PM, the tylenol for some reason makes me jittery and the benedryl ya right does the opposite too. Does this actually go away?? I will need my sleep before I even think about going back to work seeing I work 12hr shifts dispatching

UNABLE TO SLEEP AND FEELS LIKE RESTLESS LEG SYNDROME BUT IN ARMS
My Dr told me to take tylenol pm rapid release to help me sleep but maybe i'll try going without it tonight and see if that is the problem. He also told me to take liquid benedryl, that didnt work and I actually woke up soooo sick this morning. but like I said my arm have that restless leg syndrome and I have my husband massage my up body and that isnt helping, kinda like muscle spasims I guess. I seriously feel like a crackhead on a really good trip, lol.... But its really fustrating to me

- UNABLE TO SLEEP AND FEELS LIKE RESTLESS LEG SYNDROME BUT IN ARMS
I'm one week out of surgery and now I'm going thru some stuff I really don't care for and its driving me absolutely crazy. Ever since the surgery I can only sleep maybe 2 hrs at night and then as the night progresses my arms get jittery like restless leg syndrome but in the arms. The doc looked at me like I was crazy, does anyone have this????- Sleeved two days ago!
Thx and ya Im starting to feel a lil better just the sleeping aspect is weird but I go in for my one week check up tomorrow and we'll see what the doc has to say. I really wish I would of found this site before my surgery though, theres alot of insight, thx- Sleeved two days ago!
Ya everyone keeps telling me that nd actually Im not using my medicine cups no more, to me that was a mind game and my mind is my worst enemy right now. I've graduated to an ounce today and actually started Jello. The constant body temp changing is also driving me nuts. One second Im hot and then the next time shivering cold. But friends have told me that my body saying ur full, but is it? I thought I reaserched this thru and thru and appparently I didnt do enough. But thx everyone for your insight it is making the transition better for me- Sleeved two days ago!
Thank u so much for the lil insight I do feel a lil better now and I know crying and getting upset affects the healing and my hubby who is my biggest supporter is saying the same thing I'm just beating myself up and its gonna make healing longer. I just want to get past the half ounce every 30 mins, to me I feel like thats not enough even when the Dr told me I should be having an ounce every 15 mins. But when I was doing the ounce man it would come right back up and that is so painful right after surgery. Thanks again I think Im gonna be a lifer on this site now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!- Sleeved two days ago!
I was sleeved on 11/9 and actually had to stay in an extra day in the hospital cuz the throwing up. I can only hold down less then half n ounce every 30 mins. Seriously I've gone into a deep depression and keep thinking this is a mistake. Everyone keeps telling me its going to get better but it is? Everyone I know has had the bypass or lapband and they are not going thru what Im experiencing at all. Hubby suggested I should post on here and see what you guys have to say cuz I actually wanted to die after surgery. - UNABLE TO SLEEP AND FEELS LIKE RESTLESS LEG SYNDROME BUT IN ARMS
