I have already packed my bag. here' s what's in it: 1.Stetch Pants and a Pull over top 2.Ugg boots (easy to slip on) 3.Toothbrush and Toothpaste 4. Underwear 5. A book to read 6. MP Player I'm packing pretty light on purpose... Some of the things I have in my house so I'll be ready to rest when I get home are: 1. My post-op prescriptions (my surgeon prescribed them for me last week and I am gettting them filled today) 2. chicken broth 3. plenty of popsicles 4. Protein shakes 5. Apple juice (100%) 6. pudding (for week 2) 7. Protein Water 8. Herbal Tea I hope this helps! Good luck on your surgery and here's to a speedy recovery! Cheers! Diandra
  9. Hi, I have United Health Care/Texas. My paperwork was submitted to them on January 31st and I was approved on February 15th (My surgery is on March 22nd). I didn't really have any severe comorbidities (although I have sleep apnea and PCOS). They typically just want you to have a BMI of 40. Truly, depends on what your employer has outlined in their contract with UHC. Best of luck to you!
  10. Hi Jennifer, I too am having my lap band done at True Results of Austin (March 22nd). However, I'm going through my insurance. Have you thought about doing a term loan through a bank? My sister went that route when she had to pay for her Invisalign (sp?) and she went through Chase bank... just a thought. best of luck!
  11. Oh, I am totally anxious (and nervous)! I am getting banded March 22nd so you've got a full day on me. Congrats on your new jourey . WE CAN DO THIS!!!!
