Who knew Cream of Wheat could taste so good! LOL I also found the Campbell's Cheddar Cheese Soup to be quite yummy.

I am feeling much better. Today has definitely been the best day. It's been 8 days since I had surgery. Hang in there........you will feel better soon.

I'm just a little over a week post-op. Every day feels better than the day before. The scale isn't moving down, but I'm not discouraged. This is for the long haul, not a quick fix. I'm really glad I made the decision to do this. I'm excited about what is to come.:bananajump:

I had just the opposite problem until I realized that I was drinking too much juice. All better now!

Congratulations! I am a week post op also. I'm so glad I decided to do this. My whole life is truly changing.

I've been having this pain under my rib cage for the past couple of days. I am assuming it is just the gas, but I'm not sure as the pain seems to be in the same spot constantly. Has anyone else had this?

Manda, I felt the same way. I am almost a week post-op and am so glad I did it. I know I have a long way to go, but really believe I made the right decision for me. You just have decided what you want. Some people have been able to lose weight without being banded, but I felt like I had tried every other avenue and this one seemed the best fit for me. Recovery hasn't been super easy, but it hasn't been difficult either. Keep your chin up!

Hi Starzz & Lady, glad to see you doing well. I'm thinking about starting my Protein shakes earlier than my doctor said. I'm not suppose to start them until Tuesday, but I'm really needing something more than broth and clear liquids. I feel like I am starving. I'm really looking forward to tuna and cottage cheese in a week or so, Lady. I'm looking forward to sharing this journey with you guys. Sarabi

I am feeling better today. Funny thing.....I'm pretty sure the gurgling I feel is hunger pains. I can't wait until Tuesday so I can start my protein shakes. I'm really hungry.

Hi Bren, I'm feeling better every day. I realized today that some of the gurgling going on in my belly is actually hunger pains. LOL I am not telling anyone about my surgery either. The only people that know are my husband, a friend who also had it done, and my sister. I just don't want the judgment that comes with it. None of my co-workers know except my one friend who I also work with. I have been trying to walk a lot and move around as I am going back to work tomorrow. I don't get to start Protein shakes until Tuesday. I can hardly wait as I am starving. How are you doing? Sarabi

HI, I was banded on Wed., March 9. It is taking a little longer to feel better than I expected. I also have this constant gurgling in my stomach. I doesn't really hurt, it is just very annoying. I am also experiencing diarrhea which is less than joyful. I sure hope I feel better soon.

Surgery was a success. I don't feel horrible, but I don't feel good eiher. I'm not hungry because I have been nauseous. I'm not really in much pain, I just don't feel great yet. I know it's coming though.

I found out I have a hiatal hernia during my upper GI. My surgery is scheduled for Wednesday and I havent heard from my doctor yet what to expect in regards to the hernia. The upper GI was gross tasting, but otherwise pretty easy.

It looks like we are all about to begin the next phase in our lives. I'm glad I got on here today because I am feeling kinda weak due to the clear liquid diet I have been on for 5 days now. I've been feeling a little down today. I keep telling myself only 2 more days and then it is surgery day. I can do this! We can do this! Jim, Starzz and Parker, I'll be watching for your posts to see how you are doing!

I'm getting banded March 9th too, Michie. Best wishes to us both.

Pre-op diet begins March 2. I can have clear liquids only and jello. At least it is only for 1 week. Surgery date is March 9. Woohoo.....Thinville here I come!

I'm super excited and a little nervous all rolled into one. I start my pre-op diet Wednesday, March 2, and get banded on March 9th. I'm not sure why I'm so nervous, I guess it's just the unknown. I'm sure I'll be asking lots of questions and am hoping to find support here as well as giving support to others.
