Anyone know of Dr De Bruyne Chris
Thanks slinky! I have another question hopefully someone can help me Is there a supermarket or shop near the hotel because im sure hubbys not going to want to go out for dinner on his own, so i thought maybe there might be some where we could by a few bits so he could have something in the room, bread or pies, i dunno. Also what are the prices like in the resturant, just incase he does want to ventre out. Just wondering so i can plan how many euro to change up, dont want to run out of money Are there any other resturants or cafes near by? Thanks Jo x

Anyone know of Dr De Bruyne Chris
Hi hunnybe, Thanks for the reply. I can breath a sigh of relief. After 2 days on Cambridge I felt so rough and I was being a total b*tch, so ended up pretty much running to the chip shop. The moment I put my fork down, shear horror struck. If I cant manage 2 weeks pre op, how am I going to cope after? I'm just going to relax and enjoy my self, and then start a new chapter in my life and not worry, just stick to good band foods, but have the odd treat and that will hopefully stop me feeling deprived then I won't binge. Can you tell me how much fills are because I've seen people say they are charged anything from £70-100 unless some people were meaning euro as I know there are some people from Ireland on here. Thanks very much Jo x

Anyone know of Dr De Bruyne Chris
Hello everyone! I'm off to Belgium on Monday, so excited! Just wondering what you did in terms of pre op diet? In the information received from Freddy it just says to not eat fatty food for 2 weeks before surgery. On some other forums i see most people have to follow strict liver shrinking diets such as milk and yogurt diet. I thought I would give slim fast a go but have only managed to stick to it for one day so far Now I'm actually starting to panic that they might not be able to do it, or worse, i might not be able to stick to the rules after. I really need to get my head round this and quick. I'm pretty sure its my husband doing the corrupting, I seem to cope quite well but then I get those sweet words whispered in my ear.... Chinese/ kebab/ pizza and its like I'm possessed, the thoughts go round and round in my head and I cant stop thinking about food and end up giving in. I'm not sure if its the thought that I'm not going to be able to have it after surgery. I know i will be able to now and then, but just in smaller quantities. So today I'm starting Cambridge diet in a last ditch attempt to do some good before the op. One other problem I'm facing, Ive got a wedding to go to on sat, I'm supposed to be going to a buffet ( all you can eat) breakfast in the morning with hubby and the groom, then a 3 course meal after the wedding with champers, Ive got prawn cocktail for starter then hog roast followed by strawberries and cream. Then in the evening there is a finger buffet I'm trying to come up with an excuse not to go for breakfast and I can avoid the buffet like the plague at night but I'm not sure about the lunch, I know they have spent ever such a lot of money per head and I would feel awful not eating it. If I have a little pick at each course and try and sneek some on hubby's plate, will it do much damage to the liver shrinkage? Ive heard that Freddy advises you to relax and go out for a meal the night you get to Belgium so surly they cant be that worried...right?

Anyone know of Dr De Bruyne Chris
Hi OSS83 I'm not seeing Dr Chris untill June, so im sure someone post band will be along soon to explain in more detail. Fills tighten the band so that you are satisfied on much less food, unfortunately the demans are still in your head and you can still stuff if you really want to but you would do serious damage. You often need a few fills before you get a good restriction. As far as i know you have de-fills if the band becomes to tight or some people will have a slight de-fill for a holiday so they can enjoy it Most people never totaly de-fill total even after reaching their goal weight. Fills are usually done every 1-2 months until you reach your sweet spot. I booked direct through Dr Chris's assistant Freddy, I can give you his email if you want. I also didn't have a consultation, you. Just have to fill In a medical questionnaire email it back then you have the consultation with Dr Chris in the hotel the night before. I believe you can arrange a consultation in the UK if you wish but you don't have to. I hope this helps Have you tried, ukgastricband.co.uk there are lots of people in there who have been with Dr Chris Jo x

One week till banding
Hello We are both from the UK. It is very, very expensive over here for weight loss surgery, around £8000+ which is roughly 9400 euro+ Thats if you can not get it from the NHS. You have to have a BMI over 60 in Hampshire, where i live, and mine is 53. So we will be saving a lot of money even taking in to consideration flights and hotel costs. I would never ever in a million years be able to afford this sugery which i so desperately need, in this country.

Hello soon-to-be-slim, How did you get on with Dr Chris and your sugery? I will be booking to have my surgery with him very soon. Did you do an all inclusive deal or pay for everything separately? Jo

Help
Hello everyone, I have also been thinking about going for surgey with these people. Something didnt seen quite right to me, the website does not look very profetional so thought i would do some research before handing over my cash. I am 26 from UK and i weight around 336lb and im 5"7' but in hampshire where i live, im classed as being not heavy enough to have the sugery on the NHS, you have to have bmi over 60 here. The price of going with this company is currently £3,750 as of yesterday when i made contact with them. it sounds almost to good to be true and this also includes hotel stay. The cost in england is £7000+ so it would be a huge saving and i could manage to scrape this together. Kitkat-chunky how would i go about booking direct with the surgery? Many Thanks Jo
