I was wondering how many of you out there have had Dr Owens perform your surgery and what you think of him. I'm getting frustrated with my surgery coordinator and am wondering if anyone else has had problems? Thanks!

Have been thinking about the getting the Lap Band for some time now. Saw the Surgeon and Nutritionist yesterday and the Psychologist called me last night and did the interview over the phone. I answered a long form of questions they Faxed to her earlier. I asked about the possibility of the insurance OK ing the surgery. They said the Doctor has been doing surgeries for 30+ years and knows all the things to include in his report and he rarely has insurance denied. I'm hoping this is true. I'm nervous about it going through. The waiting game. I was told I would know for sure within 2 weeks. Possibly sooner. I was given my Labs to have done pending approval. They will call and schedule another appointment and a surgery date. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
