  1. Awesome! I know the feeling! Everytime I step on the scale these days it's like Christmas. Great job!!!
  2. Yay, Carollee! I'm by no means a pro, but I'm here for you if you have any questions or just general complaining. Stacy
  3. One thing I wasn't prepared for was after losing 12 lbs on the pre-op diet, they put several bags of fluids in me for the surgery. I came home 4 lbs heavier. It was a little shocking. I mean, it was logical, but a little heads up would have been great! lol I'm 6 days post-op and completely pain free. I've been back to my regular life routine for 4 days now and feel fantastic! Every morning when I step on the scale is like Christmas. The liquid diet has been easier when I remember that "I eat to live not live to eat." This comes from a confirmed foodie, too. I watch cooking shows, I cook for my family and others, too. I'm known as a cook. I'm having to figure out who I am now. This is really an exciting journey in several ways. I'm so excited!!! Stacy
  4. My surgery was 1/21/11. I went home the same day. I felt great that day and felt like I hit a wall the next. I wasn't prepared for the gas pains, and being a proper southern girl, expelling it didn't come naturally. lol I also wasn't prepared for the 4 lb gain from the fluids in the hospital. I lost 12 lbs on the pre op diet and I'm down a total of 13.5 now. Only a million to go! I'm really looking forward to the support and information here. Stacy
  5. I wish I had found this site before my procedure, because I think I was expecting to feel great today. I thought I was fully prepared for everything but found myself clueless today on what I should eat or drink. I had the soups, shakes and protein drinks from the doctor, but just went blank on what to do with them. lol So today was just a gassy, mopey, miserable mess. It gets better, right?
