  1. I was wondering if anyone had a fill Doctor in San Diego I had my surgery done in Jan of this year and Doctors keep changing at the place I go. After a few months of this I'm thinking I would be more successful if I was accountable to one Doctor and his/her staff rather than someone different every few visits I'm doing good - losing very slowly but I'm sure I could be doing much better. Thanks in advance Laura
  2. sdweetcalichic - I could see the higher cost if the fill was done under xray, but it's not. I go in step on the scale take my bp DR comes in and asks: having problems with food? any heartburn? food getting stuck? Then he decides if i need a fill or not Fill take 30 seconds I drink water and leave I'm in the room a total of 8 minutes and 5 of those minutes are waiting
  3. Thanks - I'll call tomorrow morning. I hope this is a simple billing error
  4. I just went on line and saw the first bill my Dr. sent my insurance for a fill. The bill was $3750.00! My fill only last about 7 minutes. CRAZY. Has anyone else seen a fill cost this much?
  5. I had a fill this morning - no numbing meds used. You don't feel more than a little pinch - I've had a fill with numbing meds and the it wasn't worth getting the area numbed. The fill happens so fast! Good luck! HTH
  6. BigTOm1948 - you're so RIGHT. I agree with you! I believe my Surgon up'd his prices so he'd get the max payment back from my insurance Co. 50k covered everything for me, from testing to the surgery. I would do it agian in a heartbeat
  7. You insurance may pay less than some others... My insurance has paid about 50k. My Dr. is going just fine
  8. I've been very, very good... I bought myself the wedding ring I always wanted
  9. I'm just getting over a cold with a cough - when the cough was at it's worst my port area was sore. It hurt everytime I coughed. It felt like I did a SUPER ab work out HTH Good luck and hope you're feeling better
  10. Oh, I'm so sorry. A miscarriage is never easy. I've had 3 and you'll find that most women you talk to have either had a miscarriage or know someone close to them has had one. I'm newly banded so I'm not sure how pregnancy with the band works but I'm here if you need to chat with someone about the miscarriages. I'm sending you sticky thoughts on this pregnancy... GOOD LUCK!
  11. I was banded 1/25 ~ I'm down 24lbs. I'm scheduled for my first fill on 3/12 - very excited!!!! Looking forward to hearing from other Jan. banders
  12. So.. I know this sounds gross but when I'm done with a meal and I don't want to eat any more of it I'll pour salt or sugar on it. LOOKS GROSS taste GROSS and I'm done with it. Stops me from mindlessly picking at the food
  13. Call your Doctor - I was sore but not in pain
  14. Sleeping was a huge thing for me.... I slept on the couch for a little over a week, it was easier to get out of and just more comfortable. I moved to the bed and starting sleeping with lots of pillows to keep me from moving to my tummy. LAST NIGHT I was finally albe to sleep on my tummy. I realize the journey is different for everyone and it looks like it took me longer than most to be comfortable. (I'm a baby) GOOD LUCK on your journey!
  15. Todays the day! it's 3:15am and I'm heading out the door! Good luck to us all today ~ it's the start of a new life!
  16. Hi Vicki - I'm also getting banded this Tuesday! I don't what is worse, knowing about the diet and stressing that I haven't lost enough or not know about it at all. Good luck and I'll post an update as soon as I can!
