  2. Hello I am 30 years old and diabetic .. I have 2 small children.. I decided in nov. I do not want to live my life taking pills and being over weight. I had my mind set on gastric bypass up until last week when I met with the surgeon. He went over risk and I chickened out and I am now considering the lap band instead. I am scared I won't get the full results I am looking for tho.. I have alot of weight to loose.. I am 268lbs (can't belive I even told that info!) and I would love to be 150. I am only 5'2.. So if anyone can offer up some good advice, pointers, and if any one had also back out of gasticbypass and went with the band!! please help.. lol thanks Barbie!
