  1. Hi I have type II diabetes and had the lap band January 4,2011. Reason for having the procedure was because of my diabetes. I had a appointment January 17, with my diabetes doctor and I was told that after losing 20 pounds so far has helped lower the amount. On insulin I'm taking. I was on 170 units a day, now Im taking between 7-17 units a day, great change. I was also told maybe an additional 10-15 pound loss will get me off of insulin altogether. For me it was the right decision I made, it's a lot of work but worth it. I hope this helps!
  2. Hi new to the blog. I was banded January 4, 2011, not sore feel pretty good. Only issue is I'm constipated after 4 days post-op. The surgeon help to temporary rectify the problem only to have it come back 3 days later. Anyone else having this problem.
