  1. Hi, I'm Vonda from Paragould, AR and I'm 54 and have had my band 4 years, down 120 lbs. Nice to meet a fellow middle ager!
  2. Thanks, it hasn't been easy but it has been worth it!
  3. Hang in there. I've had mine since December of 2006 and the first couple of months it didn't seem like anything was relly happening. I saw a picture of myself today from just two years ago and couldn't believe how different I look. each year I have lost more in that year than the previous year and am done 120 lbs and still going. You're going to do great!
  4. I was banded December 3 2006 and have lost 120 lbs including the 20 lbs presurgery from the liquid diet. (Yech!) I'm thrilled at the success and would do it all over again. After a 20 lb gain after the death of out 10 year old grandson from leukemia. (Yes you can gain weight on the lap band if you stuff eat "feel better" junk day in day out, and you just feel worse) I've been on a pretty steady minus 5-6 pounds per month since then. I'm thrilled to have join the Forum!
