  1. Hey Maria, I was banded Oct 20, 2010, i was doing everything right but it seemed like i didnt even have the band. right at first i lost 10lbs then gained them back. after the first two fills it still didnt feel like anything was different until i had my third fill, boy can i tell a difference. had my third fill jan. 20,2011. i cant eat near as much and i have to chew alot alot. this past weekend, everything i ate no matter how much i chewed it, it still hurt when i swallowed and as it was going down. it was so bad last night i had to lay down until the pain eased off. so today, i just ate soft foods, like 1/4 c.mashed potatoes and a pudding cup. i drank some hot chocolate. if i drink too much Water it wants to come back up. did you have any problems like this, does this pass too. am i doing something wrong? i weighed 209 now i weigh 200. i'm wondering if i should have had the gastric bypass. Need some advice. Susie Q
  2. Hello want to be healthy, i want to be healthy too. i was banded oct 20 and lost16 lbs in first 2 wks. i was excited too. then over the holidays i started gaining the lbs back. had my first adj.nov 18 lost 4 lbs but now i have gained them back. i'm not eating as much but are back to old habits too. i thought this would keep me from being hungry completely. but i do get hungry and want to munch. had my second adj dec 18 helped at first but i gained it back. am going tomorrow for my third adj. i pray it does better because i'm really getting disappointed, i don't and can't fail at this, i spent money i really couldn't afford to spend but did thinking this is the answer to my being over weight. i'm so scared this is not going to work. i dont understand how others continue to lose. wish you well. wants to lose weight I'm new to this site and have probably the same questions as others. I was banded on September 1 and lost 18lbs in the first two weeks! OMG--I was soooo Excited! Then, I lost about two or three more up to my first fill which wa the end of October. I must mention how excited I was to lose more weight and then, sssccchhhrreeecchhh....no more weight loss. Well, I began to reflect what I was doing wrong, and I must admit, I was slowly moving back to my old eating habits but just not eating as much. Then, I tried exercising more, and still no loss. I went back to high Protein (tuna, scrambled eggs, low fat turkey and chicken sausages) and it appeared that I lost four lbs---and then they're back again! I'm getting my second fill tomorrow and my question is--are most banders losing weight after the second and third fills? Honestly, I really don't want to fail at this! Thank you so much for the time! I want to be healthy!
