  1. Hey everyone! I was banded on 4/18 - a week from today and I am down 10 pounds! I am really struggling with the diet though and have cheated almost everyday. I know it's not good but I am hungry sooooooooooo much!!! Now when I say I have cheated, I don't mean on T-Bone Steaks and Chops! I have eaten crackers, applesauce and a jelly bean. I hope this won't ffect me too much. My first post-op appointment is on Wednesday and I plan to be honest and tell the surgeon everything!!
  2. Wow! Thanks so much for your response - it really encouraged me to hang in there and to know that I am not alone I guess this is a process that I am just beginning. Thanks
  3. Hi Everyone, I am 4 days Post-Op and having so many second thoughts! First, I am disgusted that I went into the hospital at 251 and 4 days later I am 253. I am starving and can't stop thinking about food. I know that the Lap Band is a tool and a majority of the work will be up to me and I am prepared. But it's discouraging that the scale is never in my favor - even now! I hear about people being able to walk around and even go back to work after a few days; I am aching and sore and can't imagine having to go back to work. WHy is ist that my experience is such a disaster????? UGGGGGGHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. Brklyynn, OMG!! Your story sounds just like mine! I was regretful immediately after surgery (4/19/2011) and was so scared. Afterall, food has been my favorite thing to do for so long! It's 3 days post-op and I am starving! But, I am optimistic and hopeful that all will be ok. Good Luck and stay well.

  9. Hi there, Your pre-op diet sounds just like mine. WHo was your nutritionist? Mine was Lisa Gentile in Long Island, NY. I am scheduled for banding on 4/18/2011 and haven't been able to stick to the pre-op; I'm always hungry and tempted to eat. Iwas double thinking the surgery myself. Good Luck!
