  1. Thank you! I will definitely look into him and call.
  2. Mexico seems so scary to me! I went to Hawaii for my honeymoon and got hurt in a parasailing accident, went to one of the hospitals there and it freaked me out because of how unclean it was. And they're USA! I guess I'm just a wimp.
  3. Thank you very much! I'm definitely going to look into him. I've heard about people giong to Mexico to get it done but that is just scary to me. Denver is much more my speed.
  4. I finally heard from the hospital and surgeon's office as to what this is going to cost me since I am self pay. $15,000 for the hospital and $13,000 for the surgeon. And I won't even be spending the night in the hospital. That sounds completely outrageous to me since I've heard a lot of you saying it was around $15,000 total. So my question is this...are there any good surgeons in the DFW area that will only cost me around $15.000 total? I really appreciate your help! Kendra in Dallas

  6. Hi everyone! I've been mulling over having this surgery for a long time and I finally got up the nerve to talk to my GP about it. He referred me to Dr. Todd McCarty at Baylor downtown and I'm now scheduled for the seminar on January 25th. I'm going to be self-pay so I'm hoping things will go very quickly. My question is, have any of you used Dr. McCarty? Did you like him, what can I expect pre and post op, how are you doing after your surgery? Thanks for any help you can give me!
  7. How did you like Dr. McCarty? I was just referred to him and would like to know information about him and how he handles things before I go see him. I already signed up for the seminar, what should I expect after that?

  9. Sarcar, I've just been referred to Dr. McCarty but I have to attend the seminar before I see him. Could you give me some information about how he handles pre and post op, did you like him, how long did it take for you to finally get the band?
  10. I am also in DFW and have finally decided to look for a doctor and get banded. If you find some information about a great doctor in our area, please let me know!
