  1. 6 I too have UHC, I went to my first seminar in April 2010 and my surgery was 12/31/10. Same as the last post, six months diet and nutrition appointments, six months support group, labs, chest xray, EGD, cardiac clearance, but the six months helps you wrap your mind around the changes you need to make for this journey to be successful. Stick with it. I am 47 5'7" 279 lbs and I'm already down 11 lbs from my 2 week pre-op appointment. My BMI is 41, and I have no co-morbidities so I couldn't afford to loose much weight before hand. I too am tired of shopping plus size and having to work so hard to find cute clothes. Good luck on your journey!
  2. Hi I had surgery on 12/30/10, I hope you are doing better. Im not in much pain, just one shoulder. Do you have Tylenol Rapid Blast liquid for adults? That has been a lifesaver for me. The prescibed medication made me itch!! If you walk hopefully you can get things moving. Good Luck!! I am 5'7" tall and weighed 278 at preop, i'm down to 269 today!! Woohoo! Keep in touch.
  3. Hi I too am a newbie!! I had surgery on 12/30/10. I'm doing fine...except for the GAS!!!! I'm on clear liquids but getting really tired of it. I can't wait to progress to pureed foods. I blended some clam chowder today and watered it down. It was soooooo good. I'm not supposed to start cream soups until Thursday, but I just can't eat anymore broth!!! Any suggestions on what else I can eat??
