  1. THIS SITE IS JUST WAY TO HARD TO FIGURE OUT!!!!!
  2. I had my plain regular Lap Band surgery 9/22/2011- 62 years old, wonderful doctor, wonderful hospital. Doing great. stated soft foods and all is well. Have lost 15.4 pounds. Get my staples out Tuesday! When people tell you that this surgery is a walk in the park.....it is not bad but, I would never walk in that park again. lol Glad I had it...glad I used Dr. Thompson. Thank everyone involved in my journey.
  3. Congrats on being scheduled. I am having my surgery this month on the 22nd. It is very exciting and scary at the same time. I just am keeping my mind on how wonderful it will feel to breath and walk without hurting!
  4. Hello Future- I am sorry you feel shafted. I hope that your wait is not extended by to many days. I guess you can be thankful that you are able to receive surgery and have a chance to loose unwated, unhealthy weight. My doctor is 5 1/2 hours away. I am blessed to have found him and I plan to utilize the travel time by thinking about my menu for the following week, writing in my journal, talking to other lap band friends, etc. Driving that distance to your doctor will probably be the easiest thing you will do in this new journey. This will be an extra expense due to the price of gas and I can justify it as I will not eat near what I previously did. Explain to your boss your situation and perhaps he/she will work with you. Just continue to work towards to being a healthier you. Good Luck!! God Bless, Grammy
  5. NewLyfe2011- CONGRATS! I know exactly how excited you are as I have also been approved for September 22nd! I was scheduled for 8/4/2011, however, I got cold feet and could not do it. This time I am going to do it! Where are you having your surgery? Doctor? Much good luck and more success to you. Bassngrammy.
  6. Congrats Rachel! I was also approved and received my surgery date a few days ago. Now I am scared. LOL Will be waiting to hear that you received your date. Good Luck and God Bless. Lauretta
  7. I am new at this lap band stuff. I searched all over and finally found Dr. Thompson patients but, none of late. I live in a very small town and will have little support during and after my proceedure. If there are any people out there that had Dr. T would you please let me know. Thanks, Lauretta
