  1. I don't drink soda anymore, a few months after being banded, I was out to dinner with my family; we were eating in a dimly lit restaurant, and halfway through the meal, I reached down to get a drink of my Water, and without realizing it, grabbed my fiance's diet coke and when I drank it it just tasted nasty. I guess after not drinking soda for a long time, you forget how it tastes, but to me it just tasted way too sweet and the carbonation made it bitter and it almost stings your mouth and throat. Anyway, a few minutes after doing that, my stomach started to hurt so. Buy anyway, that was the first, last, and probably only time I will drink soda with my lap band... Oh, and if you're wondering why I was drinking with my meals, I always get water when I go out just in case my food is hot and/or spicy, but this time it was because my food was spicy. Richard
