  1. Hey everyone! I DID IT! I was recently banded. This is my story I had my lap band procedure on Dec. 16, 2010. I am one week out and feel good. I have lost 12 lbs and had my first check up and all looks good. I have been given the red light to eat whatever I want and it doesn't seem like I am restricted that much. Is this normal? It seems like I am eating more than I thought I would be able to after having the band. I know I have not had a fill yet and once that happens my restriction will be more, I guess I am just amazed at how much I feel like I am eating. Now, I say this, but I am definetly not eating as much as I was before I had my surgery but I guess I just thought I would be eating tiny amounts after surgery. For example, today for lunch I had tomato basil Soup, a chicken finger, and a couple french fries. For dinner I has 2 small pieces of thin wheat crust cheese pizza. Is this normal? Any feedback or tips would be appreciated. I am new at this whole thing and want to make sure it works and I do well. Thanks for your help and support!!
